Originally from
Wimbledon, Keith has lived in Brighton for the last few years, and
has set up a large shared artist's studio in an old furniture factory
in Hove. Since
graduating at Canterbury Keith has explored other professions alongside
painting and drawing, most notably cabinet-making, circus work with
the internationally famous Santus family, and silk-screen-printing
under the tutelage of master printer Sally Gimson of Artizan Editions.
A desire to develop his ideas more seriously led him to pursue his
art full-time, a decision hepled and encouraged by his sister Katty
who has been painting professionally for a number of years.
Keith's work is concerned with depicting his local surroundings. His
recent series of pictures are the result of long walks, mainly in
and around Sussex.
When not painting
and drawing, Keith spends much of his time outdoors and is currently
learning primitive survival skills and the art of tracking animals
with Sussex based organisation Trackways.
